Medicon India
Unblocked a live diagnostics portal: unique booking IDs, agent-only queues, and admin history — shipped on an inherited stack without taking patient bookings down.

Medicon India runs a membership network of diagnostic centres. Patients need to find tests and packages
and book appointments; the call centre needs a console to create and assign bookings, pull in Justdial
and callback leads, and see customer history. When I joined, the Laravel + Quasar system already
existed. The gap was operational: agents could see unassigned work they shouldn’t, booking IDs weren’t
in the agreed MI + initials + sequence format, and the dashboard didn’t show the agent or a
customer’s past bookings.
Role
Freelance Full-stack Engineer on an inherited codebase (prior MIB/admin history belongs to the earlier team). I implemented the October 2024 requirements list on the modular Laravel API and Quasar admin (“MIB”), continued delivery through December 2024, and also worked on the consumer frontend and production deploy at mediconindia.com.
What I built
- Booking IDs in the client’s
MI+ name initials + sequential format, reused on test and package bookings. - Agent role cannot list unassigned bookings; admins still can.
- Recent Bookings on the admin home shows the assigned agent.
- Customer profile shows full booking history (appointment, test, centre, payment, agent, source).
- Admin navigation and routes updated from “Centers” to “Centres”.
- Consumer portal work and deploy on the existing Sanctum-authenticated modular API (bookings, customers, partners, leads, reports; Razorpay Payment Links, MSG91 WhatsApp).
Stack
